Good point. He's lucky anyway, games like Peggle and Zuma only need one hand.

Did they not do any orthopaedic tests? Or use a tuning fork on you? Make sure they are thorough with you, because a fractured scaphoid on the wrist an give you complications later on. It has a shoddy blood supply and is prone to necrosis if fractured. If you push your thumb along the length of the bone, straight back into the socket and it hurts, then it's a good indication of scaphoid fracture. You might also lose the anatomical snuff box, which is a little groove you can find on the back of your hand when you extend your thumb. It sits just to the lateral side of the tendon that runs along the dorsum of the thumb...

Hope you're ok mate!

Is he being serious, I can't tell... too.. many.. big.. words I don't know :-?

On other news, it's 2 years until the Olympics!! We've got loads of TV crews around site today so check out the evening news. We've got someone doing the first sprint in the stadium and Chris Hoy doing something in the Velodrome.

Cheers dude.

I know they tried pushing my thumb into my wrist and were quite happy when that caused no great deal of pain. No tuning fork test but I'm not expecting my singing voice to be affected. The anatomical snuff box sounds disgusting and is probably best lost.

Been to the fracture clinic, still inconclusive as to whether its broken or not. Chap offered to cast it but I said I'd stick with the splint, its reasonably supportive and comfortable and I can take it off to wash. Got a second appointment in 2 weeks time. Might try and get back to work tomorrow if I can manage to button up a shirt.

Hadn't even thought about the wedding on Saturday.

Just heard that Steph has driven into the back of someone. She's fine but the cars not. When it rains... it pours
