Anyone else getting some forum performance issues?

Work & home are both slow as hell... I blame Nivek and the extra numebr of sight hits from his Hot or Not comp..

I don't think it's the SIZE of YOUR gayness that's the problem, you can save that for a different topic Harmes, just the size of the threads I think. This one's fine, loads quick. Bigger ones seem to stop half way... really annoying, how else am I supposed to spend my time at work if not cruising these lonely forum pages?

Its running fine for me. If its a particular thread then it may well be the performance of sites that thread links to, ie photobucket?

My tinternet has been flakey this week, download speeds last night were anywhere from 100k to 500k, I normally get a solid 800k. The forum seems okay though.

It might be the gamertag crap in peoples signatures... this page for example can find Nivek but it's struggling with XMans. Geemos and Acids seem to be issues I've noticed on other threads.

Can we choose not to see them in a setting somewhere... the forums is dodgy for me at home and at work, I've been using an iphone app 'speed test' to check the general internet speed and whilst I accept at home my connection is flacky I'm rocking 15mb at work over wireless. It's not speed, I've got admin rights at work so I can change settings but I can't explain why it would be so crappy.

Reasonable theory there Han, good work. Depending on how the page loads, before it completes it will be sending requests off to the sites that provide the images for the tags. If these sites are slow at responding it will affect the loading of the page. It is for this reason that I left the ip banning check switched off.
